IFREL Strengthens International Collaboration with Tashkent State University of Economics – Samarkand Branch
Indonesia, March 26, 2025 – Continuing its commitment to academic collaboration without borders, the International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers (IFREL) held a productive virtual meeting with Associate Professor Bobur Sobirov from the Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics, Uzbekistan. The discussion focused on joint strategies to elevate journal management practices and prepare for Scopus indexing.
During the meeting, both parties enthusiastically explored opportunities for collaboration in journal development—starting from establishing an international editorial board, engaging cross-border reviewers, to encouraging article submissions from global academics. Prof. Bobur expressed strong interest in contributing directly to editorial activities and supporting IFREL’s mission to build an inclusive, international publication network.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of meeting international standards in journal governance, including transparent peer-review processes, OJS-based management systems, and adherence to publication ethics. As a next step, IFREL and the Samarkand branch of TSUE plan to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines cooperation on content exchange, editorial collaboration, and joint academic initiatives.
The President of IFREL emphasized that this collaboration goes beyond journal publishing—it’s about cultivating a vibrant and global community of researchers and educators. IFREL envisions a future filled with joint workshops, collaborative research, and training sessions to empower scholars in publishing high-impact academic work.
This initial meeting sets the stage for a meaningful partnership and is part of IFREL’s broader commitment to becoming a hub for international research synergy. Stay tuned as IFREL and TSUE-Samarkand work hand in hand to bring their journals to the global stage.
