Seminar and Call Paper International Conference on Catholic Religious Studies and Philosophy (ICCREP 2024)


Semarang - On Friday, August 23, 2024, the International Conference on Catholic Religious Education and Philosophy (ICCREP 2024) International Seminar and Call for Papers will be a significant gathering for scholars, theologians, and practitioners in Catholic religious education. With the theme “The Orientation and Promotion of Vocation in Catechesis,” the event seeks to deepen the understanding of catechesis' vital role in shaping and promoting religious vocations in the contemporary world.

The conference will begin with an opening address by Dr. Dominikus Doni Ola, S.Ag., M.Th., the Head of STP Dian Mandala Gunungsitoli, who will highlight the significance of Catholic religious education in fostering a strong spiritual foundation for youth. Following the opening, the keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. FX. Eko Armada Riyanto from STFT Widya Sasana, Malang, Indonesia, who will provide a thorough analysis of the challenges and dynamics of educating religious communities in the age of globalization.

Several expert speakers will participate in the seminar discussions. Dr. Arul Jesu Robin Sanyasa from the Institute of Consecrated Life in Rome will discuss a life of religious commitment. Dr. Tessa Rosana from St. Anthony Mary Claret College will focus on education that nurtures spiritual well-being. Dr. Susan Anggraini, Lic.Th., from Widya Mandala University, Surabaya, will offer her perspective on the role of Catholic religious education in character development. Dr. Fidelis Den, S. Fil., M.A., from STIPAS St. Sirilius, Ruteng, will explore the intersection of theological education and local culture. Lastly, Dr. Megawati Naibaho, S. Ag., M.Th., from STP Dian Mandala Gunungsitoli will address the challenges confronting Catholic education in regional areas.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Alfons Seran, S.S., M.Th., and will be conducted in a hybrid format, accommodating both online and in-person participation, enabling wider access for attendees from various locations. Alongside the seminar, there will be a Call for Papers session, where participants will showcase their latest research on topics such as public health and modern theological technology (TTM).

ICCREP 2024 presents a valuable platform for researchers to share their findings and receive a presenter certificate, LOA (Letter of Acceptance), and participant certificate. The deadline for full article submission and contributions is August 9, 2024, with the presentations scheduled for August 23, 2024.
